Here is the first chapter of a weird/avant-garde novel that I wrote. Comments good & bad are welcome.

Elitist Camelback Gaga

I would appreciate some comments.

Click the above logo for an alternative comic I write. It's unique in that it's written like a book, rather than drawn like a comic. It's pretty minimalist/postmodernist, and very sick and twisted. The humor is very subtle and dry, often working on multiple levels. There's currently 340 strips. Hope you enjoy!

I have a challenge to all those that are a part of this community. Titanic Wreckage. From this picture, try and create a story. Anyone that would like to continue the challenge and post a picture for everyone to create a story about, feel free. I'm even going to write a story. Although I know where the picture came from, I'm not using that in the story. :) Are you up for it??

The silhouette of a tall man can be seen leaning against the wooden support of an old, dilapidated inn. His left hand is clutched to his chest and he holds a bottle of spirits loosely in his right. He groans quietly and twists his body around so that he now faces the street full on. Pain is etched deeply in his fine features. Strands of wild brown hair hang in his sickly pale face.

In his healthier moments, he had been handsome, refined and slightly sophisticated but still a rugged outdoorsman at heart. His piercing blue eyes had spoken to those who looked into them of a wild and cleverly cunning spirit. Now his sickness consumed his appearances and turned his mind to a feverish delirium.

Darien tilted his head back as he lifted the bottle to his lips. He winced as the spirits scored his throat. Gasping for breath, his hand still clutched to his chest, he lowered the hand that held the bottle back down to his side. He gritted his teeth and pressed his eyes shut tight as an attempt to close himself off from the pain that ravaged through his chest.

Slowly opening them, he looked upon the street. Inhabitants and visitors alike passed by him quickly, fearful they would contract the disease as well. He didn't care about them. He watched them pass by without a single concern for what might happen to them. For the moment, he only cared for himself and what would happen to him.

Hey, this is my first post to this community, so I'll introduce myself before putting up my first story.

I'm Ashli (daddys_girl) and I just barely turned 16. Writing is my life (even though I'm not very good at it yet). My personal website is http://troythorpe.com/ashli. My fan website is http://angelfire.com/realm/jonnyquest. I have several others but those two are the better ones. They're my babies, especially the JQ one.
